This week’s Wedding Wednesday will be about wedding websites! Here at Bridal reflections, we use our bridal blog to advise brides and give them some extra tips! With that, we want to give you some helpful tips that we think all wedding websites should have!
First, your wedding website should have an introduction. This is the first thing your guests will see, so make it fun! Make it you! It should be a representation of your wedding and your love. You want to give your guests a brief introduction, a quick location where you’re getting married and the date. Add a picture to make it special.
Second, you should have a second website header talking about the wedding; you need the details! Location, venue, time, date, attire, and wedding itinerary. Is it outdoor? Is it indoor? Is it formal? Is it casual? You need to let your guests know!
Third, if there are guests coming from another part of town, or another state, or another country, you should provide them with accommodations at nearby hotels (or the hotel your wedding is at, if so). Pricing, what the hotel offers, and things to do nearby – you should put all of that under this tab.
Now you can add some personal information after all it is a wedding site! Add a little background about your lives; how you two met, when you first started dating, and when/how the proposal went down! If you have pictures or videos of the proposal, this tab is the ideal place to put them.
After, you can add more pictures; pictures of the couple together, with family, with friends. You can even maybe add pictures of the parents, siblings, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and other relevant people in the wedding. That’s a nice way to make everyone feel special, and introduce your guests to some of the people you love most.
Lastly, you can add a virtual guestbook, or a music/song request, or both! There’s a lot you can add on your website to engage your guests in before the actual wedding. It’s a fun and cute idea, and it can be free!
