The Designer
As a new grad of the respected Ray College of Design in Chicago, Cuban-born Lazaro Perez was awarded ‘Best New Bridal Design’ in all three categoriesof bridal, bridesmaid, and mother of the bride. His talent propelled him to New York to work with Galina-Bouquet and Richard Glascow. He soon joined JLM Couture, and in 1994 the Lazaro Bridal collection was born.
In 2001, Lazaro was awarded the Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry (DEBI) award in the category of Style Innovator for Bridal Gowns, as well as its Designer of the Year Award. Lazaro Perez frequently appears on TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ and WeTV’s ‘Girl Meets Gown’.
