As each day passes the people of Long Island try to move past the devastation from Hurricane Sandy. For Long Beach High School this proved to be harder than they would have imagined. The results of a student poll showed that attendance of their annual prom would be down significantly and possibly even canceled.
Along with the Scotto Brothers and other reputable vendors, Bridal Reflections is joining the efforts in giving Long Beach High School their dream prom. Bridal Reflections is proud to be donating dresses and gowns for the girls of Long Beach High School to wear on their special night.
On April 18th at Chateau Briand these high school girls will be able to try on and select a dress to wear to prom. We are so delighted to be contributing to this much needed magical night for Long Beach High School that will be sure to exceed expectations.
Bridal Reflections is also a proud supporter of Gala Gear, a philanthropic organization that donates free prom dresses and accessories to high school seniors who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom. Every year they collect hundreds of new or nearly new gowns and accessories in exceptional condition. With these gowns they organize a boutique for these well deserving young ladies to "shop" in. Since 2007 Gala Gear has helped hundreds of New York City high school girls attend their prom.
We also continuously donate to the Long Island Volunteer Center. This organization strives to promote volunteerism and its importance on Long Island. Through this organization we are able to give dresses to those in need.
Bridal Reflections has given thousands of dresses over the years, with more to come this year, and we wanted to take this opportunity to invite all of our followers to donate along with us to this great cause. So go ahead and tackle your spring-cleaning that you have been putting off and bring in your gently loved dresses and gowns. Stop by any of our three Bridal Reflections Salons with your donations we will be happy to bring them to the next event.
