Bridal Gown Trends: Put Some “Pep” In Your Step!

They say that history repeats itself and everything old will eventually make its way back around full circle, including peplum! We first saw it on the ready-to-wear runways and now it has spilled over into the bridal world. Peplum is everywhere, not only for the bride but also the bridesmaids as well! Peplum adds a feminine and flirty element to an otherwise fitted dress. A peplum really helps to accentuate the waist and give the bride that hourglass shape. Many designers are offering gowns with a detachable peplum which can create the illusion of a second dress.

Romona Keveza Legends L320 – Gown made of silk shantung taffeta, features a sculpted neckline with a mermaid skirt accented at the waist with a peplum and a gardenia flower belt.

Ines Di Santo Rosee – Cameo pink strapless mermaid silhouette with sweetheart neckline and beaded lace appliqué at bodice and hemline. Paired with decorated peplum and detachable train.

Lazaro 3316 – Sherbet textured silk organza tulle ball bridal gown with bubble peplum, sheer corseted bodice with lace underlay, curved neckline, horsehair belt at natural waist, circular tulle skirt, sweep train.

Noir by Lazaro 3285 – Grape organza bridesmaid gown, strapless curved neckline, draped bodice with box pleated peplum at natural waist, modified A-Line skirt.
