Alvina Valenta – This classic couture collection is designed by Victoria McMillan. Alvina Valenta gowns are known for their timeless elegance, sophistication and most especially their attention to detail. All of the dresses are finished by hand, as well as the beading and their signature hand rolled roses. Every hem is finished with lace right down to the petticoat hem! Alvina Valenta gowns are made of the finest silks, satin shantung, and satin organza to name a few. McMillan loves to experiment with pastel shades in all of these fabrics as well as the expected white and ivory.
One of the collections most successful silouhettes has been their full circular tulle skirt. Whether it is finished with a lace hem or without, with a Beaded tank bodice, or a simple unadomed silk satin one, these dresses exude a festive, fun elegant feel. McMillan believes the bride should be the main focus of the wedding, and the dress should only enhance her beauty.

Amy Kuschel - Amy Kuschel graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan in 1989. She started her career as a professional designer working for a New York City sportswear and dress company as Design Director.  After 6 years of designing in New York, she moved to San Francisco in 1994 and became the Designer for a high-end special occasion dress manufacturer.  In 1996 Amy became engaged and personally experienced the arduous task of trying to find the perfect wedding gown.  She had rather simplistic needs ~ she wanted to look elegant and modern without spending a fortune.  What she inevitably discovered was that she could opt to spend a reasonable amount for something mediocre, or spend an outrageous amount for something fabulous.  Neither alternative won her favor.  As an experienced fashion designer, Amy chose to create her own wedding gown.  This was the inspiration for the Amy Kuschel Bride collection.

Amy is inspired by many things: The Glamour of the past, current fashion influences, film and music, art, photography, travel - New York & Paris - everything that she loves.  She strives to find the best possible combination of ingredients for each gown within her collection.  Constantly building and always evolving.  What is unique about Amy's collection lies within her passion for detail & silhouette.  She wants her gowns and her brides to radiate grace - a strength of style & femininity.  She also believes in offering value - without sacrifice - it is unique to find a gown that is well crafted using the finest fabrics and trims and also well priced.  She is committed to offering excellence in all aspects of design and product.

Avine Perucci – Rani established the St. Puchhi collection in the U.S. in 1985, and was the first to introduce Thai silk fabric and the use of color in bridal wear. 'St. Pucchi offers the bride an alternative to traditional styling,' says Rani. 'The collection aims to raise bridal fashion to the level of artistry- the effect hails back to the Renaissance era of romance.' She describes the St. Pucchi bride as a 'very confident woman who knows what she wants and does not allow trends to dictate her choices. And she is not afraid to express her femininity and allure.' In her youth, Rani attended a boarding convent in Mussoorie, India where she was captain of the school and graduated in 1970 with honors. She then went on to study at the University of New Delhi and graduated in 1973. Rani's 22 years of experience stems from her family-owned business in Bangkok, which is one of the largest lace manufacturing facilities in the country. At age 20, she moved on to start a retail tailoring business of her own in Bangkok. Gaining experience in ready-to-wear and evening gown design, Rani participated in Paris prêt-a-porter and Igedo, Dusseldorf.

As a result of hard work and visionary style sense, Rani made a name for herself as an innovator in the bridal industry. Considering her global background, it should come as no surprise that Rani speaks of herself as a 'designer first, and then a businesswoman.'

Rani was first spotted for her talent in 1990 as a finalist in the category of Best Bridal Designer in Dallas and was also nominated three consecutive years as a Style Innovator at the Chicago Apparel Center's Debi awards. After receiving the 1995 Debi Award for Best Bridal Designer, she was nominated again in the same category the following year.

When she is not traveling between her home in Bangkok, where the gowns are produced, and her home in Los Angeles, Rani enjoys reading, music and the occasional trip to the theatre. 'Staying on the ground for more than 2 weeks is a luxury I wish I could afford,' she says. Between the numerous trunk shows, appearances, and trade shows she attends, Rani also makes at least 4 to 6 trips to Bangkok annually with sporadic visits to Hong Kong or Japan. Fueled by a compulsion for change, Rani is truly dedicated designer/business woman and a risk-taker. 'I am constantly in pursuit of perfection,' she says. 'The key is to lead, not follow. The brides are the ultimate judges of my creations.' And St. Pucchi's consistent growth for over 15 years proves that St. Pucchi can take on the most difficult task faced by the bride on her wedding day, and make it not only rewarding, but worthy of a fairy tale.

Elizabeth Fillmore – Noting a void in the bridal market for more modern and sophisticated dresses, Elizabeth Fillmore began her bridal collection in 1998.  The bridal collection was a natural extension of Elizabeth’s eveningwear, incorporating the signature fluid, feminine and romantic elements that make the Elizabeth Fillmore collections so special.

Ines Di Santo – Born in Italy and raised in Argentina, Ines trained in the finest European fashion design schools. Ines Di Santo's styles reflect her Italian, French and Spanish heritage and her devotion to representing the romantic and feminine form. Ines Di Santo continues to bring exclusive Haute Couture bridal design with a creative flair to the marketplace. Ines Di Santo chooses fabrics that reflect her obsession with the romantic. James Clifford – James started his formal career as a designer at the New England School of Art and Design. Following graduation, he participated in a two-year apprenticeship at the House of Bianchi and was then recruited by Priscilla of Boston. During his nineteen years there, James designed for numerous celebrity and prestigious political weddings, including that of Julie Nixon and Lucy Baines Johnson. In 1980, James moved to New York City. While holding the position of head designer at Galina Boquet, James also worked to establish his own style and make his unique mark on the bridal industry. James' hard work proved prolific when he joined Jim Hjelm, Inc. in 1987. In June 2004, James joined Mon Cheri Bridals, LLC as sole designer of the exclusive James Clifford Collection.

Renella DeFina - With a new and refreshing perspective on higher end bridal couture, meet one of Canada's very own: Renella Defina.

Born and raised in Toronto, Renella was influenced by a long family tradition of European haute couture. She eventually went on to train at the International Academy of Design in Toronto.

Since 1994, Renella has enjoyed much success in the bridal industry. Her original work was launched under the Amici collection. At the turn of the new millennium, she went on to create her Signature Collection.
