The Bridal Reflections, Garden City Hotel, and Karyn Michael Event teams celebrate with celebrity cake designer Ron Ben-Israel!
The first annual Bridal Art Showcase at the Garden City Hotel was a huge success, thanks to the dedicated professionals at Bridal Reflections, The Garden City Hotel and Karyn Michael Events. Attending Brides experienced all the trappings of a full wedding at the Garden City Hotel, including cakes from Ron Ben-Israel, cuisine from Belgium Master Chef Steve DuBruyn, and decor from Karyn Michael Events.
But what would a wedding be without fashion? Brides were treated to a full Bridal Reflections fashion runway show featuring the 2010 Bridal and Evening Wear collections of exclusive designers Marina K Couture, Stephen Yearick, and Ines Di Santo. All the latest and hottest trends were on display, including:
-Mermaid styles and dropped waist
-Wearing two gowns! One for the ceremony and one, often a short dress or one with no train, for the reception for more comfortable dancing.
-Rouching
-Jeweled accent such as broaches or beaded belts.
-Elements of petals or feathers, either in the skirt or hair.
-Strapless is still very hot, along with one shoulder gowns.
Mermaid styles and elongated bodices are all the rage, and no one cuts these beautiful silhouettes quite like designer Ines Di Santo. She also displays a few other current trends including rouching , using elements of petals, and a unique detachable train. Designer Denise Leli fashioned petal accents for the hair to accompany her Reni headpiece.

These popular silhouettes are not just for bridal, as this evening wear gown from designer Stephen Yearick shows. Dramatic use of crystals, a dropped waist, and creative use of rouching on the skirt create a gown that is anything but traditional. The second dress from Stephen Yearick is for the bride that loves elaborate detail, featuring intricate crystal beadwork and a sheer illusion yoke neckline.

In the ballgown below, Marina K Couture displays her signature corset top, beautifully embroidered, along with a tiered organza skirt. This is followed by a unique take on the popular strapless design with a floral lace accent that comes to the shoulder, creating an eye catching element for this beautiful design.
